This unique project involves the design on a state-of-the
art educational, leaning, and conferencing center that
will be used jointly by Wachovia Corporation and Wake
Forest University’s graduate MBA programs in
Charlotte, NC.
Workplace Strategies has teamed with Jenkins Peer
Architects to develop an innovative facility that supports
both client’s educational missions through a wide
variety of flexible space concepts, advanced technologies, and a host of amenities that encourage social
interaction and collaboration.
The facility includes two 80-seat tiered classroom
spaces that include broadcast quality video conference
and distance learning. Four flat classroom spaces can
instantly convert to a large auditorium through the use
of automated wall technologies.
Social gathering spaces offer informal meeting environ-
ments and verandahs overlooking the adjacent cultural
campus and Tryon Street. A large café and food service
area is central to the conference spaces.
Projected completion in Fall 2009.
