Workplace Strategies was retained by GTCC to manage FFE specification and procurement for this new two-story, 45,000 square foot general academic building at the Greensboro campus. It will house classrooms and offices for the College's Basic Skills program.

The center include three computerized training rooms, a learning resource center and library, a distance learning center, a science lab, classrooms, offices and common areas. Every classroom in the center will have computer network capability and will be designed for easy maintenance and adaptability to changing technology. This building’s FFE requirements were bundled with those of the new Technical Education Center and the Continuing Education Center to leverage the volume of the total bid package. The buildings will install in six month intervals starting in October 2004.

Workplace Strategies was retained by GTCC to manage FFE specification and procurement for this new three-story 110,000 square foot Center to house the Industrial, Construction and Engineering Technologies Division at Guilford Technical Community College.

This facility will include classrooms, offices and computer labs as well as laboratories for Carpentry, Basic Wiring, HVAC Systems, Electronics and Telecommunications Networking Engineering Technologies (TNET). An additional 5,200 square feet for outdoor Carpentry and HVAC shops is also included. The building structure and building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing and cabling) will remain exposed to allow the facility to serve as a teaching tool and to demonstrate the design and construction of the building.

The building’s FFE requirements were bundled with those of the new Adult Education Center and the Continuing Education Center to leverage the volume of the total bid package. The buildings will install in six month intervals starting in October 2004.
